The Mothman Prophecies
The Mothman Prophecies is a psychological scary movie directed by Mark Pellington, about the 1975 book of "The Mothman Prophecies" by parapsychologist and Fortean author John Keel.
The movie shows John Klein, a reporter who investigates the legend of the Mothman. The movie says it to be based on actual events that happend between November 1966 & December 1967 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. The film was a modest financial success. Newspaper reporter John Klein (Gere) and his wife Mary (Messing) are involved in a car accident. Mary, the driver uses the automobile in order to avoid hitting something on the road. A brain scan though shows evidence of a brain tumor and she later passes away. Then, John discovers mysterious drawings..
