My Dog Skip is a 2000 film, directed by Jay Russell. It is based on the autobiographical book My Dog Skip by Willie Morris.
A wonderfull movie about a dog that saved a little boy from a childhood disaster. The movie is based on the true story of the childhood of a boy who was shy and tiny, making him an easy victim of bullying. Neighbours and other boys from school picks on him making his childhood into a nightmare. On his birthday he get's a dog but his father, who has gained a cold heart after loosing one leg in a war, tries to send the dog to another family.. Hopefully the mother of the family saves the dog from beeng sent away and soon the boy and dog together with others are ready for their adventures!. A movie that will give tears to your eyes..
