The Passion of Christ (sometimes referred to as "The Passion") is a drama movie directed by Mel Gibson. Starring Jim Caviezel as Jesus Christ. It speaks of the Passion of Jesus mostly according to the "New Testament Gospels", of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
The film starts in Gethsemane when Jesus prays and is tempted by Satan, at the same time his apostles Peter, James and John are sleeping. After receiving thirty pieces of silver, one of Jesus' apostles, Judas, approaches with the temple guards and betrays Jesus. That was done with a kiss on the cheek. As the guards begin to arrest Jesus, Peter cuts off the ear of a guard, but Jesus heals the ear. As the apostles run away, the temple guards arrest in the end Jesus and beats him during the road to the Sanhedrin. John tells Mary and Mary M. of the arrest and Peter walks after Jesus from a distance.
