Saving Private Ryan is an epic war movie about the the invasion of Normandy in World War II. It was directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Robert Rodat. The movie has received honour for great graphics of the portrayal of war and as well for the intensity of its opening 27 minutes, which shows the Omaha Beach assault in June 6, 1944.

On the morning of June 6, 1944, the start of the Normandy invasion, American soldiers begin to land on Omaha Beach. They struggle against the German infantry, machine gun nests, and artillery fire. Captain John H. Miller survives the initial landing and gathers a group of soldiers to attack the German defenses, leading to a breakout from the beach.
