The Haunting in Connecticut is a psychological horror movie made by Gold Circle Films & directed by Peter Cornwell. The movie is about Carmen Snedeker and her family, though Ray Garton, writer of: In a Dark Place -The Story of a True Haunting, has in public spoken of that the accuracy of the events he depicted in the book is not 100% correct. Gold Circle Films announced the new production of two more movies based on the first movie: "The Haunting in Connecticut 2 - Ghosts of Georgia" and as well "The Haunting in New York".

The story of the movie shows the Campbells when they move into a house (a former mortuary) to to help the long travelings for their cancered stricken son, Matthew. The family after a while becomes haunted by evil and traumatic hapennings from what appears as supernatural forces living inside the house.
